TeamHealth Holdings News Release (07/01/13)

TeamHealth has expanded its presence in three states—Ohio, New Jersey, and Wisconsin. The company expanded its Ohio presence through the acquisition of the operations of North Central Emergency Associates LLC, the group that manages and staffs the hospital emergency departments for Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, OH, and the Bellevue Hospital in Bellevue, OH.

Meanwhile, TeamHealth has expanded its New Jersey presence through the acquisition of South Jersey Emergency Physicians PA, the group that manages and staffs the emergency department for Virtua Memorial in Mount Holly, NJ. Finally, TeamHealth has expanded its Wisconsin presence through a transaction involving the principals of Racine Emergency Physicians SC, the group that manages and staffs the emergency department for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare—All Saints hospital in Racine, WI.

PrincetonOne of Skillman, NJ, has merged with Vermillion Group of Des Moines, IA. PrincetonOne is a recruitment services provider; Vermillion Group is an executive search firm. The merger will enable PrincetonOne to expand its U.S. market presence, grow its staff, and add to the industries for which it recruits. Vermillion Group will become PrincetonOne’s 14th location.

The Institute for Supply Management’s broad index rose to 50.9 in June from 49 in May. A reading above 50 indicates expansion. New orders, production, and inventories grew. However, the employment index shrank for the first time in almost four years. U.S. manufacturers are outperforming their foreign counterparts, but also are suffering from weak foreign markets. Domestic demand is aiding some U.S. growth.
