Deadline Extended—Be a Staffing Industry Mentor

ASA provides a resource designed for staffing industry professionals interested in being part of valuable mentoring relationships—and if you’re interested in improving professionalism within the industry by serving as a mentor to your colleagues, the deadline for mentor applications has been extended.

The ASA Mentor Match program allows members on both sides of the mentoring relationship to make valuable industry connections and gain insight from staffing peers. The program is meant to help staffing professionals grow professionally and network with fellow ASA members. Participants are paired based on areas of expertise for a six-month period.

Applications for the six-month cycle that begins in July are due Monday, June 9. Visit americanstaffing.net/mentormatch to get started as a mentor.

Notice to ASA Members of Association Bylaws Changes

Per the bylaws of the American Staffing Association, this is to notify ASA members that the ASA board of directors, at its regularly scheduled meeting held in Washington, DC, on May 7, 2025, duly adopted certain changes to the association’s bylaws, which were last updated in 2012. The changes were designed to update the verbiage to conform with the current ASA mission, correct minor inaccuracies, and improve internal administration. The primary changes pertain to the board’s composition—namely, to allow the board to fill a limited number of seats with individuals not affiliated with a member company who the board determines will bring exceptional value to the board based on their background, qualifications, and prior experience on the board; and to substitute “large enterprises” (as defined by the board) for “national firms” in the current bylaws provision providing that no more than one-half the board shall be made of national firms. The board determined that “large enterprise” should be defined as $500 million in annual U.S. revenue. Members may review the full set of the bylaws, showing all changes, at americanstaffing.net.
