ASA Launches Resources Aimed at Increasing Disability Inclusion in Staffing

This week, ASA launched a new website intended to help employers make their businesses more inclusive for talent with disabilities. Developed in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, the site includes resources on best practices for recruiting, hiring, retaining, and advancing talent with disabilities; what employers need to know about managing a diverse workforce that includes people with disabilities; and ways employers can promote disability inclusion in their internal and external communications.

It also provides information on commonsense workplace changes that result in more digitally accessible workplaces. This is the latest joint effort between ASA and ODEP, which signed an alliance in May 2020 to advance the employment of people with disabilities in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industries.

Take Advantage of Vaccine Literacy Resources for Staffing Firms

As part of its continued effort to support staffing firms’ response to Covid-19, ASA launched a Vaccine Literacy Resources for Staffing Firms webpage. The site provides valuable downloads and links employers can use to engage and educate workers about Covid-19 vaccines. ASA partnered with the Health Action Alliance to share these free resources, including a quick-start guide, sample communications, vaccine FAQs, a social media tool kit, and more.

Research shows that businesses and employers are a trusted source of information and are well-suited to advance vaccine literacy efforts. The new ASA site also links to National Safety Council resources, developed by NSC’s “SAFER: Safe Actions for Employee Returns” task force.

Visit the Vaccine Literacy Resources page today and check back regularly for updates—ASA will post new resources as they become available.
