Proposals Due This Week—Present a Breakout Session at Staffing World

There are just a few days left for you to submit a proposal for a breakout session at Staffing World®, the ASA annual convention and expo, which this year takes place Oct. 12–14.

Staffing and recruiting professionals will gather in Denver to explore new opportunities, the latest tips and tools, and groundbreaking strategies in a rapidly evolving industry. There are still spots available for interactive breakout sessions on topics essential to the staffing, recruiting, or workforce solutions industry—but proposals are due Jan. 31.

Proposals for Demo Stage talks are due May 31, and proposals for ASA webinars are accepted throughout the year. For more information and to start your submission, visit americanstaffing.net/presenters.

OSHA Offers Resources for Winter Weather Safety

When inclement weather conditions hit, ensuring you are up-to-date on safe work conditions is essential. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration offers a Winter Weather web page that includes various resources on winter weather safety, including the OSHA Cold Stress guide. OSHA has also published a Refrigerated Warehousing guide, which includes useful information on working in cold conditions, and the OSHA Safe Winter Driving guide.

Since 2014, ASA and OSHA have had a formal alliance aimed at educating staffing companies, their clients, and temporary workers about temporary worker rights and employer responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act. ASA was promoted to OSHA Ambassador status in 2022.
