Next Week: Staffing World 2023 Showcases the Future of Staffing

It’s almost time for the most important industry event for staffing professionals—Staffing World® 2023. The ASA annual convention and expo starts Tuesday, Oct. 3, and continues through Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC. Preconvention programs take place Monday, Oct. 2, and Tuesday, Oct. 3 (separate registration is required).

Staffing World is a time for you to connect and collaborate with industry peers. Hear from three powerful keynote presenters, attend educational sessions and networking events, visit with suppliers in the industry’s largest expo, and much more.

ASA-certified professionals can earn up to 22.75 continuing education hours toward certification renewal by participating in workshops and other content sessions. Get more information and register at staffingworld.net. On-site registration opens Monday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

ASA Offers Resources to Help Firms Increase Disability Inclusion in Staffing

ASA—in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy—has developed a website of tools to help employers make their businesses more inclusive for talent with disabilities. The site includes resources on best practices for recruiting, hiring, retaining, and advancing talent with disabilities; what employers need to know about managing a diverse workforce that includes people with disabilities; and ways employers can promote disability inclusion in their internal and external communications.

It also provides information on commonsense workplace changes that result in more digitally accessible workplaces. This is another initiative in the joint effort between ASA and ODEP, which signed an alliance in May 2020 to advance the employment of people with disabilities in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industries.
