Workers at a warehouse operated by NFI Industries walked off the job Wednesday to protest what they characterized as poor working conditions. NFI operates warehouses in Southern California for large retailers such as Wal-Mart Stores Inc. The walkout is the latest conflict between workers at the network of warehouses and their employers. In January, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health issued citations for violations found at warehouses operated by National Distribution Centers and Tri State Staffing.
