Inventories at U.S. companies largely held steady in June as sales improved, signaling manufacturers will be growing orders. Stockpiles held at about $1.66 billion after declining 0.1% in May, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce. A Bloomberg survey had forecast a 0.2% increase. Sales increased 0.2% in June.
