President Obama intends to speak today at an automobile plant in Missouri and will use his speech to highlight his opposition to a Republican proposal to defund the Affordable Care Act. He also will speak about his disinclination to negotiate with Republicans about raising the debt ceiling. He would support a short-term proposal to fund the federal government, but would veto any proposal that doesn’t fund the ACA.
