Applications for U.S. unemployment benefits declined by 20,000 to 331,000 in the week ended Feb. 1, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg had forecast a decrease to 335,000. The four-week moving average of claims rose to 334,000 from 333,750.
