U.S. Producer Prices Unchanged in August

The producer price index was unchanged in August on a seasonally adjusted basis from July, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Excluding food and energy, prices increased 0.1%. Economists polled by the Wall Street Journal had anticipated that the PPI would be unchanged in August. Producer prices were up 1.8% from a year ago.
