U.S. factory production increased less than forecast in January at 0.2%, according to the U.S. Federal Reserve. There was no change in December. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg had predicted a 0.4% rise. Foreign orders are down due to flagging global growth and U.S. manufacturers are slowing production in response. Domestic demand remains strong.
