Cross Country Healthcare to Acquire Mediscan

Workforce solutions provider Cross Country Healthcare Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Woodland Hills, CA-based Mediscan. Mediscan provides temporary health care staffing and workforce solutions to both the health care and education markets.

Amazon to Hire 100,000 U.S. Workers for Holidays

Amazon.com Inc. plans to hire 100,000 seasonal workers this holiday season, up 25% from 80,000 last year. The company’s rivals are hiring on par with last year. Wal-Mart plans to hire 60,000 seasonal employees, Target 70,000, and Macy’s 85,000.

Staffing firms that complete the brief survey will receive an exclusive report on the results—now enhanced with graphs and an executive summary. The report also includes sales category and sector-level data.
