Staffing Stats
The unemployed–vacancy ratio increased in November, from 1.0 unemployed persons per job opening to 1.1 persons, meaning there is slightly more than one job seeker per job opening. The ratio helps measure the relative scarcity of workers, with a lower value indicating a tighter job market. ASA research shows staffing employment tends to rise when demand for workers exceeds the number of job seekers.
