Adecco Group News Release (08/07/14)

Adecco Group reported revenues of €5 billion for the second quarter of 2014, up 1% (5% in constant currency) from the second quarter of 2013. Net income totaled €145 million, up 15% from €126 million in the year-ago quarter.

In North America, revenues were €927 million, an increase of 3% on a year-to-year basis. Industrial staffing revenue growth was strong at 10%. In office staffing, revenues declined by 5%, attributed to continued weak demand from clients in financial services. Revenues in professional staffing grew 2%, with growth of 3% in information technology, 5% in finance and legal, and 6% in medical and science. Engineering and technical staffing revenues declined by 1%. Permanent placement revenues in North America were up 10%.
