United Parcel Service Inc. will hire between 90,000 and 95,000 seasonal employees this year due to an increase in e-commerce. The company hired 85,000 seasonal workers last year after only expecting to take on an additional 55,000 employees. The surge will begin in October and last through January. Nearly 60% of all UPS deliveries in the U.S. last holiday season were e-commerce packages, up from 40% in all of 2012.
