In response to the economic stability portended by the recent budget deal and the U.S. Federal Reserve’s plan to taper its stimulus, the International Monetary Fund is raising its outlook on the U.S. economy. In October, the IMF predicted the U.S. economy would expand 2.6% in 2014. The jobless rate is expected to continue to decline.
