Understand How Candidates Feel About Their Job Search

According to a study by ASA and its corporate research partner ClearlyRated, active and passive job seekers anticipate working for a new company in the coming year. The Candidate Sentiment Study sheds light on candidates’ perceptions regarding how they look for jobs (online vs. offline resources), the reasons they decide to leave a job, and their experiences partnering with staffing agencies―with distinct differences reported among generations, industry sectors, races/ethnicities, and genders.

A report of the survey findings is available for purchase—get more information at americanstaffing.net/candidate-sentiment-study.

ASA Offers Vaccine Literacy Resources for Staffing Firms

As part of its continued effort to support staffing firms’ response to Covid-19, ASA developed the Vaccine Literacy Resources for Staffing Firms webpage. The site provides valuable downloads and links employers can use to engage and educate workers about Covid-19 vaccines. Research shows that businesses and employers are a trusted source of information and are well-suited to advance vaccine literacy efforts. The new ASA site also links to National Safety Council resources, developed by NSC’s “SAFER: Safe Actions for Employee Returns” task force.

ASA partnered with the Health Action Alliance to share these free resources, including a quick-start guide, sample communications, vaccine FAQs, a social media tool kit, and more—and new resources are added as they become available. Visit the Vaccine Literacy Resources page.

Free ASA Webinar Next Week—Supporting Women Leaders in Staffing

Achieving gender equity requires everyone’s participation, and ensuring that allies are engaged in gender equity and actively championing women is critical to the success of staffing firms and the growth of the industry. Learn about the importance of cultivating and partner with male allies during the ASA webinar “Becoming Allies: Men’s Roles in Supporting Women in Leadership,” presented by the ASA women in leadership interest group in celebration of Women’s History Month. It takes place Wednesday, March 16, 2–3 p.m. Eastern time. The ASA women in leadership interest group is sponsored by ASA corporate partners Bullhorn and Essential StaffCARE, and by Anthem, Assurance, ClearEdge Marketing, Mee Derby, Sense, Textkernel, WorkLlama, and WorkN.

All ASA webinars are free for ASA members, and most qualify for continuing education hours toward ASA certification renewal. To learn more and to register, visit americanstaffing.net.

Get the Staffing-Specific Legal Content You Need at the Staffing Law Conference

The ASA Staffing Law Conference is the only event dedicated exclusively to the legal and regulatory issues facing staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions companies. This year’s event takes place May 5–6 at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, DC.

New and veteran staffing professionals alike will benefit from two packed days of learning and networking and the industry’s most reliable legal content for your firm, including sessions on the Great Resignation, remote work, and immigration enforcement. Take a look at the session descriptions, then visit staffinglawconference.net to reserve your spot and receive the lowest rate available.

Get Weekly Updates on Staffing Employment Trends, With Dynamic Charts

Looking for real-time data on staffing employment? The ASA Staffing Index reports weekly changes in the number of people employed in temporary and contract work, now including data on staffing starts (new assignments). The data will help your firm evaluate its performance against a national metric on both a weekly and long-term basis.

All staffing firms with U.S. operations are invited to participate in the ASA Staffing Index survey. Every Tuesday, participants receive an email with the results of the weekly survey, including figures by company size, and access to historical data and new dynamic charts. These data, which are not available anywhere else, allow staffing firms to compare how their business is doing on a weekly basis relative to similarly sized firms in the industry. There are no fees to participate in the five-question survey.

Don’t get stuck with outdated or unreliable data—sign up to participate in the ASA Staffing Index and receive the most up-to-date information about the staffing industry. For more information about the index, visit americanstaffing.net/staffing-index.
