Proposals Due This Month—Share Your Knowledge at Staffing World 2022

Can you offer solutions for the challenges that staffing firms face today? ASA is looking for experts in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry to share their experience and expertise at Staffing World®, the ASA annual convention and expo, which this year takes place Oct. 25–27 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Industry experts, and business professionals in other disciplines pertinent to the staffing industry, should submit proposals for Breakout Sessions (concurrent, interactive sessions between 45 and 75 minutes long), Knowledge Hub Technology Talks (10-minute talks on technology topics important to the industry), or other Knowledge Hub Talks (10-minute talks on general topics important to the industry).

ASA also is accepting proposals for ASA webinars. For more information and to start your submission, visit americanstaffing.net/presenters. The deadline for ASA webinar and Staffing World Breakout Session proposals is March 31, and the deadline for Staffing World Knowledge Hub talks is May 31.

Free Online Course Based on Groundbreaking Industry Research

Even during this pandemic, one of the top issues of concern to staffing and recruiting professionals is growing their talent pipeline and overcoming the ongoing talent shortage. Communicating to job seekers in a way that resonates with them and captures their interest has never been more critical.

ASA conducted extensive research to understand the mindset of today’s job seeker and has created an online course in conjunction with the New Language of Staffing research and resulting strategies. The course—exclusively for staffing professionals with ASA member firms—features video modules, online quizzes, and more. ASA-certified professionals who complete the course can earn continuing education hours toward ASA certification renewal.

Get Employees Back to Work Safely

As part of a global endeavor to help employees return safely to work amid the pandemic, ASA launched the Safely Back to Work initiative to lead efforts in the U.S. The initiative and the website at americanstaffing.net/safelybacktowork website are based on the association’s work with the World Employment Confederation, Adecco Group, ManpowerGroup, and Randstad NV.

The result is an online collection of safety-focused resources for employers and a high-profile pledge to the safety of all employees who are returning to job sites.

  • Download the ASA Safely Back to Work Best Practice Protocols, which include 77 measures to help further employee safety in different industry sectors and work environments.
  • Download the Covid-19 Safety Checklist, developed specifically for staffing company use by the law firm Seyfarth Shaw.
  • Take the Safely Back to Work Pledge to show your company’s commitment to the health and welfare of your corporate and temporary and contract employees.
