The Law and You—Weathering ICE Work Site Crackdowns

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has increased Form I-9 inspections, unannounced visits, and work site enforcement, causing panic for employers. Paired with other workforce disruptions and amplified criminal charges against employers, this uncertainty is necessitating a substantial and immediate onus for staffing firms to beef up their legal compliance efforts.

In the latest issue of Staffing Success magazine, find out what your firm should watch out for and how it can protect itself and its employees. Author Dawn M. Lurie of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, along with Helen L. Konrad of McCandlish Holton PC, also will be discussing this topic during the ASA webinar “Are You Ready for ICE? What Every Staffing Firm Needs to Know in 2025,” Tuesday, May 27, 2–3 p.m. Eastern time.

Access the current issue and back issues of Staffing Success, and other ASA digital publications, at americanstaffing.net/digital.

ASA Webinar Today on Advocating for Inclusiveness—Complimentary to Members

Don’t miss the ASA webinar “Unapologetically You: Thriving in Spaces That Question Your Value.” It takes place today from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern time. Many organizations launched diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts, but being labeled a “DEI hire” can affect a person’s mental well-being and professional identity. In this session presented by the ASA inclusion, diversity, and equity advocacy (IDEA) group, the ASA women in leadership interest group, and Women of Color in Staffing, mental health professional Stacia’ Alexander will help participants understand how to protect their mental health, advocate for themselves, and build resilience.

The ASA women in leadership interest group is sponsored by ASA corporate partners Advance Partners, Bullhorn, and ClearlyRated, and by Avionté, Marsh McLennan Agency, Mee Derby, Sense, and T2 Insurance Solutions. The ASA IDEA group is sponsored by ASA corporate partner ClearlyRated.

All ASA webinars are free for ASA members, and most qualify for continuing education hours toward ASA certification renewal. To learn more and to register, visit americanstaffing.net.
