Michael Page International’s Americas gross profit for the fourth quarter of 2012 was £17.0 million versus £18.6 million a year earlier. Market conditions in North America remained difficult. Headcount across the Americas fell by 5.2% during the quarter.
Mississippi Yearning: Some Nissan Workers Want a Union Vote

Employees at the Nissan plant in Canton, MS, are considering unionizing. Many of the employees are long-term temporary workers who do the same work as permanent employees but have no job security. Nissan spokesperson David Reuter says the company is operating within its rights. Furthermore, the company says the wages it pays are considerably higher than the average for the state.
