Korn/Ferry International Announces Fourth Quarter and Fiscal 2013 Results

Korn/Ferry International News Release (06/17/13)

Korn/Ferry International reported $238.6 million in revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013, up from $207.6 million during the same period last year. The company reported net income of $12.2 million, compared with $12 million in the fourth quarter of 2012. It also reported revenue of $849.7 million for fiscal 2013, up from $826.8 million during fiscal 2012. The company’s net income for the year was $33.3 million, down from $54.3 million last year.

Korn/Ferry International’s executive recruitment segment reported revenue of $142.8 million for the fourth quarter and $544.8 million for the year, down from $143.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2012 and $586.5 million in fiscal 2012. The segment’s North American fee revenue was $77.5 million in the fourth quarter, up from $76.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2012, and $290.3 million for the year, down from $305.7 million in fiscal 2012.

The company’s leadership and talent consulting segment reported revenue of $63.1 million for the fourth quarter and $176.6 million for the year, up from $33.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2012 and $120.3 million in fiscal 2012. Its Futurestep segment reported quarterly revenue of $32.7 million, up from $31 million a year ago, and revenue of $128.3 million for the year, up from $120 million in fiscal 2012.

Staffing Execs: 650 Layoffs Planned Linked to Unpaid Detroit School Contract

Staffing firms Sodexo North America and Powerlink Facilities Management Services have notified the Michigan Workforce Development Agency that around 650 employees will be laid off by Aug. 12 if Detroit Public Schools does not resolve an unpaid building services contract. The contract covers building engineers, grounds keepers, landscape personnel, and other facility management services in the school district, which reportedly has missed more than $18 million in payments.
