Kelly Services News Release (08/07/13)
Kelly Services Inc. reported $1.4 billion in revenue for the second quarter of 2013, up 0.1% from the year-ago period. The company’s net earnings totaled $10 million, down 33.2% from $15 million in the second quarter of 2012.
U.S. revenues totaled $864.3 million in the second quarter of 2013, down 1.2% from $874.4 million during the same period last year.

Cross Country Healthcare Inc. News Release (08/06/13)
Cross Country Healthcare Inc. reported consolidated revenue of $110.8 million in the second quarter of 2013, up 2% from $108.8 million in the second quarter of 2012. The company also reported a net loss of $1.5 million, compared with a net loss of $14.5 million in the year-ago period.
Revenue for its nursing and allied staffing segment totaled $67.5 million in the second quarter of 2013, down 0.15% from $67.6 million in the second quarter of 2012. Revenue totaled $33 million for its physician staffing segment, up 6.5% from $30.9 million, and $10.3 million for its other human capital management services segment, essentially unchanged from a year ago.
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (08/01/13)
The federal government has launched a website to provide state-by-state information to employers on health care options and responsibilities under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Named Health Care Changes, the website went live Aug. 1 and can be found here. It includes information on tax credits and a wizard tool calibrated to a company’s size and location. The website will not replace healthcare.gov, which provides information to consumers as well as employers.
