The ASA Certified Staffing Professional^® and Technical Services Certified^SM programs now include critical content related to the Affordable Care Act. The ACA imposes major new legal obligations on employers, including additional excise taxes, which will increase the cost of supplying temporary and contract workers. Under the ACA employer mandate that takes effect Jan. 1, 2015, and using a one-year “look back” period, staffing firms must start tracking full-time and “variable hour” employees starting Jan. 1, 2014.

The CSP^® and TSC^SM exams now include 10 questions about this and other important aspects of the ACA. The ASA certification study materials, which are provided when you order a certification package, also include information to help you prepare for these exam questions.
