CodersTrust will finance the education of 100,000 information technology workers in impoverished nations over the next three years. The startup is helping Elance-oDesk Inc. freelancers upgrade their skills. Roughly 57% of the jobs listed on Elance and oDesk relate to IT and technology.
“In a year you can go from knowing nothing to being able to complete 60% of the coding tasks on sites such as Elance or oDesk,” said Ferdinand Kjærulff, founder and chief executive officer of CodersTrust.
