California’s Inland Empire Sees Surge in Warehouse Jobs

California’s Inland Empire logistics industry has been recovering over the past two years; the industry created one in five jobs in the area last year. Many of these jobs are temporary. Many of the area’s new employees are warehouse workers supplied by temporary staffing companies, while others are employed by contractors.
About 60% of those employed at Southern California facilities worked for temporary staffing firms, according to a 2013 survey by the University of California Riverside.
Business Outlook Remains Strong Despite Weak First Quarter
