Today Is Red Nose Day: Join in the Fun for a Serious Cause

Red Nose Day is today, May 21. ASA has renewed its support for this annual awareness and fundraising campaign, which supports children’s charities in the U.S. and around the globe. The staff at ASA headquarters are participating virtually, and members are encouraged to join in the fun on ASA Central and social media—digital red noses can be purchased this year at rednoseday.org.

Participate today by posting photos and videos on ASA Central,
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and
Twitter using the #ASACares hashtag.

The company with the most photos and videos, and highest number of engagements, will earn a donation to Comic Relief in its name and will be spotlighted by ASA. Be sure to use the hashtag, and tag ASA on social media, so that your posts and photos can be tallied.

Free ASA Webinar Tomorrow—Managing Talent Remotely

Don’t miss tomorrow’s ASA webinar “The Art of Leading Remote Talent,” 2–3 p.m. Eastern time. Get tips on tailoring communications, improving engagement, and fostering collaboration with remote talent of all types.

All ASA webinars are free for ASA members, and most qualify for continuing education hours toward ASA certification renewal. To learn more and to register, visit americanstaffing.net.

Deadline Tomorrow—Find Out Where Staffing Employment Is Headed

Don’t miss your chance to get the staffing and recruiting data you need, including projections. The deadline has been extended for the association’s quarterly Staffing Employment and Sales Survey for the first quarter of 2020—now closing tomorrow, May 22. Participate in the survey and compare how your company is doing with similar-sized companies and firms within your industry sector.

After completing the survey, you will be able to access an exclusive online report archive, which includes benchmarks for the number of direct hire searches and permanent placements, sector-specific gross margin trends, and payroll and productivity metrics by company size. Register to take the survey at americanstaffing.net/quarterly-survey.

Deadlines Approaching—Earn Recognition and Differentiate Your Firm

Earn national recognition for your company—ASA is now accepting applications for National Staffing Employee of the Year and ASA Elevate Awards.

The National Staffing Employee of the Year program celebrates temporary and contract employees who are outstanding performers and exemplify the promise of staffing employment. Sponsored by StaffPRO3, a division of PMC Insurance Group. The ASA Elevate Awards honor outstanding, innovative, and effective work-based learning programs that train, reskill, and upskill temporary and contract employees.

The deadline for all ASA award program submissions has been extended to July 1. To learn more and apply, visit americanstaffing.net/awards.
