Staffing World 2020 Happens Next Week

It’s almost time for the most important industry event for staffing professionals—Staffing World 2020. The ASA annual convention and expo, an immersive virtual experience, starts Monday, Oct. 19, and continues online through Thursday, Oct. 22.

Staffing World will utilize virtual reality technology to help you connect and collaborate—much like you would in person. Hear from four powerful keynote presenters, attend more than 30 educational sessions and virtual discussion groups, visit with suppliers in the interactive expo hall, and much more.

ASA-certified professionals can earn up to 12 hours of continuing education toward certification renewal by participating in workshops and other content sessions. Get more information and register online at staffingworld.net.

ASA Announces First Women in Leadership Scholarship Recipients

ASA today announced the inaugural class of Women in Leadership Scholarship recipients. The Women in Leadership Scholarship program honors rising stars in the staffing and recruiting who show exemplary professional growth potential and a commitment to a career in the industry. The 2020 honorees are Brenna Barnett, Carlton Staffing director of marketing, and Madelyn Varner, Randstad area director of East Carolina. They will receive complimentary registration packages to attend the virtual events Staffing World® 2020 and THRIVE 2020.

“ASA is thrilled to announce the first recipients of the Women in Leadership Scholarship awards,” said ASA women in leadership interest group chairman Sara Luchsinger, CSP, of SEEK Careers/Staffing. “This scholarship program rewards young leaders with great potential, like Brenna and Madelyn, with the opportunity to attend ASA premier events at no cost to assist in their continued professional development, and also supports the advancement of women leaders in staffing.”

This scholarship program is possible thanks to support from Assurance, founding sponsor of the ASA women in leadership interest group. Additional women in leadership interest group sponsors are Anthem, Bullhorn, ClearEdge Marketing, Mee Derby, and WorkN.
