Deadline Tomorrow—Be, or Find, an Industry Mentor

The ASA Mentor Match program allows members to make valuable industry connections, define career goals, and gain insight from staffing peers by establishing a mentoring relationship for a six-month period. The program is designed to help both mentors and mentees grow professionally and network with fellow ASA members.

Applications for the six-month cycle that begins in January are due tomorrow. Visit americanstaffing.net/mentormatch to get started as a mentor or mentee.

The Law and You—Protecting Your Firm Against Class-Action Litigation

Identifying and mitigating risk is a critical component to a company’s long-term growth, profitability, and sustainability. For staffing firms, class-action litigation remains a top threat. The cost of defense, settlement, or verdict—as well as the time required to mount a defense—can be enormous.

In the latest issue of Staffing Success magazine, attorneys Lia Elliott and Joanna Monroe look at ways that staffing firms can position themselves to successfully defend against class actions and minimize the hit to the bottom line.
