What’s Happening at Staffing World Today

Staffing World®, the ASA annual convention and expo, continues today and tomorrow at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Programming began this morning with the Super Session featuring the presentation of the 2023 National Staffing Employee of the Year Award (sponsored by StaffPRO3, a division of PMC Insurance Group) and the panel discussion “Straight Talk From Staffing CEOs” (sponsored by Anthem). Breakout sessions start at 11:15 a.m. Pacific time and continue until 5 p.m. The Expo—where Knowledge Hub Talks take place—is open 10 a.m.–7 p.m., and the Expo Reception: Fast Track to Charlotte! is 5–7 p.m. (The Knowledge Hub is sponsored by ClearlyRated, an ASA corporate partner.)

New ASA Legal Line Video for Members: Recent EEOC Enforcement Actions

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has recently filed lawsuits against staffing agencies that it alleged discriminated against applicants based on race, health status, and other factors. The cases highlight a few general rules that staffing agencies should always keep in mind.

The ASA Legal Line monthly video series features a member of the association’s legal team and addresses critical legal, regulatory, and legislative topics that have direct implications for your business.
