New York State Authorizes Health Care Staffing Profit Cap—What Comes Next
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed the state’s FY 2027 budget on May 28, which included a provision urged by unions authorizing the Department of Health to cap the profits of health care staffing agencies. No state has ever capped agency profits and ASA and its affiliate New York Staffing Association are working to persuade state authorities that such a step is unwarranted and unnecessary.
