June is National Safety Month, an initiative of the National Safety Council that focuses on reducing leading causes of injury and death at work, on the road, and at home. NSC highlights a different safety topic each week in June and offers free materials at nsc.org to help employers engage their workers in safety preparations.
The theme for this week is slips, trips, and falls. Because falls are the second-leading cause of unintentional injury-related death, it’s important to focus on reducing slips, trips, and falls; falls from heights; and ways technology can play a role in saving lives.
Safety is all about continuous improvement. Whether organizationally or individually, NSC can help provide guidance for your path forward. Protecting temporary worker safety and well-being is a top priority for ASA, and the association is proud to partner with NSC in promoting National Safety Month.
