For the second month in a row, in June three U.S. regions contributed more than 50% of all private sector jobs added to U.S. payrolls, according to Automatic Data Processing. “All nine U.S. Census Bureau divisions recorded private sector job growth in June, with the South Atlantic, Pacific, and West South Central [regions] generating the most new jobs for the second consecutive month,” says Ahu Yildirmaz, lead economist and senior director of the ADP Research Institute. Combined employment in the three regions rose by 98,000 jobs, comprising a majority of the broader U.S. increase of 188,000 private sector jobs last month.
