IRS Extends Deadlines for Filing 2015 ACA Employer Reports

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service has extended the due dates for filing the 2015 employer information reports under the Affordable Care Act. The date for furnishing individuals with copies of Form 1095-C, “Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage,” has been extended from Feb. 1, 2016, to March 31, 2016.

The date for filing Form 1094-C, “Transmittal of Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage Information Returns,” and Form 1095-C, “Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage,” has been extended from Feb. 29, 2016, to May 31, 2016 (extended from March 31, 2016, to June 30, 2016, if filing electronically). The notice is available on the IRS website, irs.gov.
