Business Groups Push Back on New PPP Document Demands

ASA has joined a broad coalition of business groups expressing serious concerns with new U.S. Small Business Administration requirements under the Paycheck Protection Program. Under the new requirements, businesses that borrowed more than $2 million in PPP loans must complete a detailed “loan necessity questionnaire” and submit extensive documentation to the agency supporting the certifications of necessity made at the time of their loan applications.

Letters sent by the coalition yesterday to Congress and the administration urge that the new requirements be temporarily suspended until the coalition’s concerns are addressed.
