New ASA Legal Line Video for Members: FTC’s Rules on Noncompete Agreements

Earlier this month, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission issued a new rule prohibiting employers from entering into new noncompete agreements with employees. The ASA Legal Line monthly video series features a member of the association’s legal team and addresses critical legal, regulatory, and legislative topics that have direct implications for your business. In the latest installment, the newest member of the ASA legal team—associate general counsel, Lisa Soronen, Esq.—discusses the forthcoming ban on noncompete agreements and highlights important points you must know to ensure your business is in compliance.

At the ASA Staffing Law & Compliance Conference, May 16–17 in Washington, DC, the session “Fortune Telling: Forecasting 2024’s Legal and Political Outcomes” will include a discussion by legal and policy experts on the expected fate of the FTC ban. Learn more and register at staffinglawconference.net.
