Deadline Extended—Volunteer With ASA

ASA is seeking dedicated members to serve on volunteer committees and councils for terms beginning in 2025. Help ASA advance the industry by becoming a volunteer—the deadline to submit an application has been extended to this Friday, Nov. 8.

In addition, ASA has several short-term volunteering opportunities open—these small, brief actions can result in a significant benefit for you and for the association.

Learn about all the available volunteer opportunities at asacentral.americanstaffing.net.

Free ASA Webinar Tomorrow—Integrating DEI Principles

Don’t miss tomorrow’s ASA webinar “Beyond the DEI Department: Integrating Inclusivity Across Your Organization,” 2–3 p.m. Eastern time. True inclusivity requires more than a dedicated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) department. In this session, Yemi Akisanya of Axon will look at the importance of embedding DEI principles in all organizational operations, from recruitment to customer engagement, and consider ways to infuse DEI objectives into different departments and functions. Presented by the ASA inclusion, diversity, and equity advocacy (IDEA) group, which is sponsored by ASA corporate partners ClearlyRated and Monster.

All ASA webinars are free for ASA members, and most qualify for continuing education hours toward ASA certification renewal. To learn more and to register, visit americanstaffing.net.

Deadline Extended—Participate in the ASA Mentor Match Program

ASA provides a resource designed for staffing industry professionals interested in being part of valuable mentoring relationships—the ASA Mentor Match program. Participants are matched for a six-month period (during a January–June cycle or a July–December cycle).

ASA particularly needs experienced industry professionals to serve as mentors in the six-month cycle that begins in January—the deadline to apply has been extended to this Friday, Nov. 8.

Mentor Match allows members to make valuable industry connections, define career goals, and gain insight from staffing peers. The program is meant to help staffing professionals grow professionally and network with fellow ASA members. Visit americanstaffing.net/mentormatch to get started as a mentor.
